Corporate Partnerships Manager

The Arizona Sports Foundations, The Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation, Fiesta Events Inc.

 The Corporate Partnerships Manager is currently an exempt position that will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Partnerships.  This position will be responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the sale of integrated packaging of Fiesta Bowl, Cactus Bowl and Fiesta Bowl Event assets including in-game signage, print publications, promotions, digital media and hospitality.  Responsibilities also include management, renewal and development of existing corporate partnerships and development of new incremental revenue opportunities. 

Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

·        Researching, prospecting and establishing leads for corporate partnerships

·        Preparing and presenting proposals to corporate decision makers

·        Working directly with sponsorship activation manager to ensure contractual fulfillment with an emphasis towards maximizing cross- promotional opportunities

·        Developing long-term business relationships for the organization and its related event properties

·        Effectively managing client(s) and partner’s objectives and strategically aligning them with organizations assets and inventory

·        Working closely with the organizations departments to maximize event value for customers and stakeholders

Communications/Community Relations: Communications Department Management
Director Communications and Media Operations - Fiesta Bowl (Scottsdale, AZ)

Director of Communications and Media Operations

The Arizona Sports Foundations, The Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation, Fiesta Events Inc.

The Director of Communications is responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a communications and public relations program that will enhance the image and position of the Fiesta Bowl, Cactus Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl events. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Internal and External Communications

 

  • Generate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and respond to media requests

  • Maintenance of positive and ongoing relationships with local and national media

  • Develop/manage PR campaign to build awareness for Fiesta and Cactus Bowl and other events

  • Serve as a contact/liaison for various partners including FWAA, PRSA, CoSIDA, NCAAF, NFF, NACDA, AWSM and FBA

  • Representative at conference Media Days

  • Serve as official spokesperson for the organization and secure, coordinate & conduct media interviews and press conferences

  • Coordinate communications with organization volunteers, staff, committee, season ticketholders and fans

  • Create, edit and publish organizational newsletters, production calendars and in-game programs

Production of internal and external communications and materials for organizational activities

Management of Media Operations for the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl

  • Set-up, design and coordination of Press Box operations for the Fiesta and Cactus Bowl
  • Manage Media Credential process for the Fiesta and Cactus Bowl

  • Oversee Media Center operations & logistics for the Fiesta and Cactus Bowl  

  • Oversee press events including media hospitality, media days, media transportation and stadium logistics

  • Oversight and management of the Media Operations Committee

  • Collaborate with participating team SIDs, including

    • Communications
    • Scheduling
    • Compliance with CFP standards
    • Monitoring access to teams
    • Information dissemination

Creative/Publication Management

  •  Writing/editing of all media relations collateral including press releases, media kits, alerts, fact sheets and post-game reports
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of publications including media guides, game programs and other press materials

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Sales
Ticket Sales Representative - Fiesta Bowl (Scottsdale, AZ)

Ticket Sales Representative 

Ticket Sales Representative will be responsible for generating revenue by identifying new business prospects and selling all ticket products. Additional responsibilities include the servicing, support, and maintenance of assigned customer accounts. Tasks will be completed with the intent to meet pre-determined individual and department sales and service performance goals.

This position is currently a non-exempt position reporting to the Ticket Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Selling ticket products including ticket packages, group seating, luxury suites, club seating, and other special events

  • Proactively creating opportunities for new business with existing customers

  • Making cold calls from provided lists to local businesses, consumers, and community groups

  • Maximizing revenue using all sales methods including face-to-face appointments, territory prospecting, and networking

  • Making an agreed upon number of quality outbound calls per day

  • Working with fundraising committee to drive new sales and meet fundraising requirements

  • Contacting past customers and soliciting new sales leads to generate incremental sales opportunities

  • Handling incoming sales calls from sales prospects for ticket products

  • Representing Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl at outside events for sales opportunities

  • Performing assigned game day and event responsibilities as needed

  • Documenting and maintaining sales touch-point activities in Salesforce

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of one year successful sales experience in sports/entertainment

  • Experience using Paciolan ticketing software preferred, but not required

  • Evidence of strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Experience effectively conducting business over the phone and personally

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
