Studio Line Producer - Lax Sports Network (Woburn, MA)

Job Description: Lax Sports Network, a 24/7 digital sports network devoted to the sport of lacrosse, is accepting resumes for a full-time Studio Line Producer.  The primary responsibility of the producer will be to build, oversee and execute daily, hour-long, live news shows for the network, focusing exclusively on lacrosse content across multiple platforms and at all levels of the sports (high school, NCAA, MLL & NLL.) Candidates will report to the Executive Producer and the Director of Studio Production. Availabilty to work nights, weekends and holidays is a must. Must be a self-starter and a team player. Lacrosse knowledge and producing experience in a live television setting strongly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Construct and execute rundowns of daily, hour-long lacrosse news programs.
  • Lead daily pre-production planning and post-show meetings
  • Line produce news and original programming initiatives as assigned
  • Editing highlights and feature elements for news programming, event production and original programming as necessary
  • Ingests and encoding video material for multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, social media)
  • Works with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
  • Provides ideas and suggestions to help enhance productions
  • Adheres to production department procedures

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience in live studio programming
  • Willing to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Lacrosse knowledge strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience developing and executing social media and interactive components
  • Must be a good communicator with advanced written and verbal skills (emphasis on writing for broadcast)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with control room production procedures and equipment
  • Experience with non-linear editing platform

Position Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will execute the social media strategy for the company in order to attract, engage and grow the client base. Coordinator will help develop, manage, edit and post content to the brand’s social and digital channels (including, but not limited to, social networks, email, website and blog), track and report on progress and engagement in all social channels to management. The Social Media Coordinator will assist the marketing team in developing a monthly/quarterly strategy based on goals set forth.

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in the field


Knowledge and Skills:

•    Fluent in English and Spanish

•    Report to Marketing Director and collaborate with graphic designers and webmasters to ensure a cohesive        social media identity
•    Propose creative strategy in collaboration with Marketing Director
•    Stay up to date on marketing and industry trends
•    Partner with Retail and Product Man to create and execute sales promotions
•    Maintain and track all social media platforms to ensure maximum visibility and increase brand recognition
•    Deliver monthly reports with statistics and results for each account
•    Engage social media influencers and identify key partners on targeted platforms
•    Additional duties as assigned
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Proficient in Word, Excel, Keynote, Photoshop and basic internet tools
